Booking your spot

The Canadian customer will pay Reptile Express our Non-CITES import and inspection fees as well as the taxes on the total declared value (5%) in advance. The shipping fee from our Toronto location to your Canadian address will be pre-paid as well.

Please note: For international shipping, we only accept E-Transfer, Money Order, and Cheques. PayPal & credit cards come with a 3-4% processing fee.

Contacting the Seller

We will get in contact with your U.S. seller and provide instructions on where our NY office is for them to ship to as well as all the information they’d need on how to label the animals etc.

The breeder ships out your reptile(s)

The U.S. shipper will ship the package off on Monday or Tuesday evenings ONLY. They will purchase a FedEx Priority Overnight (Before 10:30am) Service only. We will not accept any packages arriving after 12pm on the Wednesday as that’s the time we need to go through USF&W inspections. We are not responsible for any shipments arriving late.

US Fish & Wildlife Border Inspection

We pick up packages at our U.S. location on Wednesday early morning, and go through USFWS inspections and Canadian customs in the late morning/early afternoon.

Once we’ve cleared the USF&W border inspection, we will return to our Toronto location by approximately 4pm.

Shipped-out or Pickup

Once we return to our Toronto office, any animals that need to be shipped out to clients outside of our local area will be done that same night in order to expedite the process. Tracking emails will be sent out Wednesday late afternoon.

All animals will be inspected and given new containers/bedding if previous ones are soiled

If you’re local to the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), you can pick up your animal(s) Wednesday late afternoon between 4-9pm at no extra charge.

Arrival at your Door

For those who had their animals shipped out you will receive your animals on the Thursday. Delivery to your door is between 9am – 5pm. Most often before noon. Somebody must be home to accept the package.
